So what did Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, say to each other during their onstage collaboration in London last week?
A lip reader known on Instagram as @tismejackieg claims to have the answers after watching Swift’s performance on the Eras Tour.
“Wake up! Wake up!” the Kansas City Chiefs star allegedly shouted as he carried his supposedly exhausted girlfriend across the stage at Wembley.
Later in the act, Swift pretended to faint before saying, “I don’t want to!”
Kelce, wearing a top hat, dramatically fanned Swift before telling her, “Get back out there!”
Pat McAfee said Taylor Swift’s success inspired Travis Kelce to “be great” in his own field
This back and forth continued.
“I don’t want… ugh,” she replied.
‘Get back out there!’ he replied.
No, this wasn’t Shakespeare at the Globe. But for the Swifties in London, and perhaps some Chiefs fans in Kansas City, he qualified as captivating.
The performance even made an impact on ESPN, where Pat McAfee insists that Swift is Kelce’s inspiration on the field.
After one of McAfee’s panelists suggested that the tight end is about to have his “last dance” next season, the host went on to talk about how Kelce is motivated by Swift’s notoriety.
“I think Taylor motivates him to keep going,” McAfee said. “I think he sees her doing her thing and says, ‘Shit, she sells out stadiums in every city in the world, she keeps making hits, she’s involved in everything.'”
McAfee praised Swift and Kelce becoming ‘internet official’ after Kelce’s appearance
“You’re probably thinking, ‘Yeah, this is exactly who I need to be with,'” McAfee continued.
“Because, you know, they say you’re the company you keep. And the company you keep is conquering the world, practically, in an industry that I don’t think she was supposed to conquer as quickly as she certainly did.”
The three-time Super Bowl champion is coming off two consecutive titles and is on his way to a third consecutive ring. McAfee also highlighted how Kelce just signed a two-year extension with the Chiefs.
McAfee has long been excited about the Kelce-Swift love story, applauding the NFL star for supporting the 14-time Grammy winner and vice versa.
“Once again…I can’t help but feel phenomenal pride,” McAfee wrote of Kelce’s appearance at Swift’s show. “None of the other homeless people Taylor has been with would be as prepared and prepared in front of 90,000 people in that costume.”
