While his loyalties lie with the Chiefs, tight end Travis Kelce revealed the only team he would leave Kansas City for.
In the latest installment of the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason, Travis revealed that he was leaving the reigning Super Bowl champions for a team in London where they filmed the episode.
The comment came during the “No Dumb Question” segment, when a listener asked the Kelces if they would “play for a team in London.”
“Yes, 100 percent,” Travis said without hesitation. ‘I’m waiting for that team.
‘Play for another team, other than the Chiefs. The only situation is if I can play abroad,” he continued.
Travis Kelce revealed he would only leave the Chiefs to play for an NFL team based in London
As the idea of the NFL expanding across the pond was floated, Jason asked Travis how long it would be before the NFL established a franchise in London. The Chiefs star replied, “Less than ten years.”
‘I don’t know for sure if it will be London. (But) I mean, it’s where we’ve been playing the most overseas.’
Since the NFL began its international series in 2007, London has hosted the league more than any other foreign city. The English capital has welcomed the best of American football on 42 occasions, 33 of which were regular season games.
NFL games have been played at different venues in London, including Wembley Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Twickenham Stadium.

Other destinations that hosted more than one game include Toronto with six and Mexico City with five.
The Kelces have had an eventful time in the UK, where they enjoyed three of Taylor Swift’s sold-out shows at Wembley. In the same episode, they raved about meeting Prince William and his children at one of the concerts.
Jason also guaranteed that London would be the first city to host a team if the league’s international expansion materialises.
“If there’s an NFL team, the first city they’ll go to is London,” the retired Eagles center said. “I will say it publicly.”
Kelce has played a major role in the Chiefs’ three Super Bowl titles in the past five years.
In April, the Chiefs signed the tight end to a two-year extension worth $34.25 million.
“Here (outside the United States) there are the largest number of fans, and the biggest appetite is in London, it’s a major market. The only other cities I would also be in would be, like… I know Germany has a lot of fans of the NFL. Probably a German team, I guess Munich or Berlin.
“But I think London will be the first to get it, if it ever happens.”
