Travis Kelce returned to practice for the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday, while his girlfriend Taylor Swift put on a big show in Scotland as their Eras Tour made its first stop in the UK.

For Kelce, there was a heartwarming atmosphere in Chiefs camp after teammate BJ Thompson went into cardiac arrest at a team meeting Thursday after suffering a seizure.

Thompson, 25, is said to be awake and responsive now at the hospital. The Chiefs canceled Thursday’s practice in the wake of the shocking events that unfolded.

Kelce, 34, was photographed alongside Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City on Friday. Next week, the Chiefs will hold a mandatory minicamp from June 11-13 as the Super Bowl champions ramp up their preparations for the new season.

With his football commitments ramping up again, Kelce has less time to accompany Swift on her European tour, with her current run of dates running through August 20 across the continent.

Friday night was the first of three sold-out shows Swift was playing at Murrayfield in Edinburgh – the 67,000-seat stadium is home to the Scotland rugby team.

It then heads to Liverpool, to play at Anfield, the iconic football stadium, before stopping off in Cardiff, London and Dublin.

Technically, Kelce could head to Liverpool after the Chiefs’ minicamp next week, given that he will play another two days after his practice ends. While her current plans to join are unclear, he has said before that he will be all over the world with her during the offseason.

The Chiefs open their NFL season on Thursday, September 5 at Arrowhead Stadium against the Baltimore Ravens.

Kelce and his team are looking to win a historic third consecutive Super Bowl, following their victory in Las Vegas in February against the San Francisco 49ers.

The year before, Kelce and the Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles, for whom his older brother Jason played.
