Travis Kelce is headed to the big screen after landing his first film project.
The Kansas City Chiefs star has reached new heights of fame amid his romance with girlfriend Taylor Swift, dazzling fans in commercials, appearances on the Eras Tour and even television shows.
But the tight end is now ready to make it big as he is in talks to star in the action comedy film, ‘Loose Cannons,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project is in the works at Lionsgate with John Wick filmmaker Chad Stahelski producing alongside his 87Eleven Entertainment partner Jason Spitz.
Meanwhile, Tim Dowling, whose credits include the Adam Sandler comedy Just Go With It, is said to have written the script.
The film, which is said to share a similar vibe to classic action-comedy hits Lethal Weapon, Bad Boys, and Rush Hour, reportedly centers on the premise that every police precinct in the film’s world has an out-of-control, rule-breaking officer on staff, who is ultimately partnered with a cop just as unhinged as they are.

It’s unclear when production will begin or what role Kelce will play with the 2024 NFL season on the horizon.
If he does manage to land the role, however, it will mark just the next step in the Super Bowl winner’s ambitious off-field endeavors.
Kelce has already established an impressive portfolio in Hollywood, appearing in an episode of the Showtime comedy Moonbase 8 in 2020 and hosting Saturday Night Live in March 2023.
Most recently, she signed on to host the television show ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?’, a spin-off of ‘Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?’
The show, filmed in Los Angeles during the football offseason, will stream on Amazon Prime and the Oct. 16 start date coincides with Kelce’s NFL bye week with the Chiefs.
Kelce also landed a role in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX series, the horror drama ‘Grotesquerie.’

The 10-episode series from the co-creator of Glee and American Horror Story is set to premiere in September and follows a detective attempting to solve a series of heinous crimes.
Kelce’s role remains a mystery, though he previously spoke about feeling like an “amateur” on set.
“It’s been a lot of fun,” Travis told his brother, Jason Kelce, on an episode of The New Heights Podcast In May.
“I feel like a rookie, like an amateur, but I haven’t been fired yet,” he continued. “I haven’t been told to fuck off after the first week.”
The tight end said he didn’t want to “reveal too much” about the plot, but described the series as “quite a mystery.”
Kelce has confirmed October 16 as the release date for ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’
She appeared in a trailer for Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX series, Grotesquerie.
Kelce is two weeks away from the start of the new NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Everyone has been so helpful in making me feel comfortable and giving me the direction I need and the training I need to play this role,” he continued.
“I just take it scene by scene and make sure I remember my lines… I’m very amateur at this.”
Meanwhile, Kelce is gearing up for the start of the new NFL season: the Kansas City Chiefs are less than a month away from kicking off their new campaign with a huge matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5 at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kelce and the Chiefs are lining up a historic shot at an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat this season and his girlfriend Swift is expected to cheer him on from the stands as much as possible.
