Travis Kelce is “excited” to welcome speedster Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to Kansas City after the former Cardinals and Ravens wide receiver signed a deal worth up to $11 million with the Chiefs.
After beating the 49ers in the Super Bowl, Kelce and his teammates will be aiming for a historic three-peat — and the tight end is excited to see Brown play opposite him.
“He’s worth every penny,” Kelce said on his “New heights’ podcast alongside his brother Jason. “And he’s about to get crazy this year…put a stamp on it.”
Kelce continued, “This guy can absolutely fly. I talked to my guys, my Oklahoma Sooners, about what type of guy he is and everyone raves about the person he is in the building.
The Chiefs star also discussed the text message Brown received from head coach Andy Reid before officially signing with the team, as Reid wrote: “Hollywood, think red today, KC Red with diamonds!!!”.

The speedster spent the last two seasons in Arizona after starting his career in Baltimore.
Kelce opened up about his new teammate Brown on the latest episode of “New Heights.”
Brown then responded, “Yes, sir, I love the sound of that.” Think Hollywood Brown, the lights, the camera, the action.
Of that exchange, Kelce said, “If there’s one guy who knows a little Hollywood, it’s Andy Reid, baby.”
Brown, whose best season was a 1,008-yard effort in 2021, was spotted working out with his new quarterback Patrick Mahomes just a day after signing with Kansas City.
According to SpotracBrown is guaranteed $6.5 million, while he can earn up to $1 million in incentives for touchdowns (seven touchdowns needed), $1.5 million in incentives for playing time (75 percent of snaps) and $1.5 million in receiving yardage incentives (1,000 yards).
Brown will also receive a $250,000 practice bonus and can earn up to $250,000 by being active in each game.

Later in “New Heights”, Kelce urged teammate L’Jarius Sneed to “stay” with the team.
Sneed has already been awarded the team’s non-exclusive franchise tag for next season, which will pay him $19.8 million.
But the defensive back wants a long-term deal and urged Kansas City general manager Brett Veach to “pay me” after the Super Bowl.
Sneed has reportedly received massive trade interest from other teams – although Sneed recently expressed his desire to stay in KC.
