Travis Kelce showed off his acting chops in Hollywood by producing a hilarious Patrick Mahomes impression on the sidelines of Saturday’s Kansas City Chiefs game.
Both Kelce and Mahomes had previously gone viral for the quarterback’s incredible behind-the-back pass to his friend and teammate during their preseason outing against the Detroit Lions.
Though many thought it was something straight out of Andy Reid’s playbook, Mahomes revealed after the game that he was “mad” at Kelce and only threw the pass because the tight end had run the wrong route.
In an act of fairness, Kelce was given the right to respond, and he responded by doing a hilarious Kermit the Frog-style imitation of Mahomes.
“It wasn’t a play? No, it was a play… it was a first down,” Kelce responded during his live television interview when asked about the viral moment, before explaining why he may have misheard his quarterback.

Mahomes’ voice has long been compared to the famous Muppets character.
“You know he has that voice thing, so he mumbles,” he joked, producing a hilarious noise that sounded eerily like something out of The Muppets.
‘So he mumbled the play and I couldn’t hear him, I was walking towards the line trying to figure out what he was saying, and before I knew it he threw the ball.’
Unsurprisingly, social media immediately went into overdrive as one fan commented, “No way Kelce just called Mahomes Kermit the Frog!”
Another added: ‘Tight end, backup dancer on the Eras Tour, Mahomes impersonation. Travis Kelce can do it all.’
Just minutes earlier, Mahomes had been questioned about the reason for the play, and he explained: “Travis didn’t run the route he was supposed to run. He was angry, he was pissed off at Travis.
‘Out of spite, I made a behind-the-back pass. But now it’s going to be a highlight!’

Mahomes and Kelce are very close friends, and have perhaps become even closer in the past year amid the latter’s relationship with Taylor Swift.
The duo often go on double dates with Brittany and Taylor, and the quarterback’s wife welcomed the singer into the Chiefs family at multiple games throughout 2023 and 2024.
As the 2024 season approaches, there has been much speculation about how many games Swift will attend this season.
First up, the Chiefs will face the Ravens on Sept. 5, which coincides with the pop star’s break from his sold-out Eras Tour.
