Travis Kelce has returned to Arrowhead Stadium for the first time since becoming a three-time Super Bowl champion in the spring as he prepares for the 2024 NFL season.
The 34-year-old tight end was seen arriving at his team’s base on Saturday before the Chiefs’ preseason game against the Detroit Lions.
Wearing an all-black look that included a classic Nike T-shirt and Chicago Bulls basketball shorts, Kelce smiled for the camera while looking focused behind his sunglasses and headphones.
He played briefly in last week’s 26-13 road loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, catching a seven-yard pass.
Just 24 hours ago, Kelce’s father Ed launched a new attack on Kanye West after the rapper mentioned the NFL player and his pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift in his latest diss track.
Travis Kelce looked casual as he arrived at Arrowhead before the Chiefs-Lions game on Saturday.
He responded to cheers from fans during warmups at a nearly empty Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas.
TIME TO DO BUSINESS: Kelce then donned his red No. 87 jersey and his signature Chiefs gloves.
“I squeeze my Taylor joints at the end like Travis Kelce,” Lil’ Wayne raps in his verse on the song, which appears on West’s album, Vultures 2.
Raising the bar on Facebook, Ed said in response to DailyMail.com’s story about West’s new lyrics on August 8: ‘I feel the need to clarify that my comment about Kanye West was not so much a criticism as it was my thoughts on his mental health.
‘His behavior and comments beyond those of Taylor indicate paranoia and an exaggerated sense of self-worth.
‘While it would be easy to attribute his actions to drug use, there has been no shortage of sober, clean people throughout history who have displayed the same traits. This man is talented and I hope he is getting help with these issues.’
Kelce’s first preseason game in Kansas City also comes after his early criticism as host of ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity.’

Actress Garcelle Beauvais was one of the guests on the show and spoke exclusively to ET about her experience with the Chiefs tight end as a host.
“It was great, I can tell you that? It was fantastic,” he said.
“As a game show host, I wasn’t sure, but he didn’t overdo it. He didn’t overdo it. He was himself. He was funny and he was great.”
Kelce’s off-field coup comes after it was claimed that he and Swift “sleep together on Zoom” despite the distance between them as the singer is still in Europe for her “Eras Tour.”
The Chiefs officially begin their 2024-25 NFL campaign on Sept. 5 against the Baltimore Ravens in a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game.
