Jason and Travis Kelce got into a fun discussion about how big butts can be advantageous in the NFL.
In the latest episode of their New Heights podcast, the brothers referenced a story from The Athletic that highlighted how players’ backsides play a factor in NFL scouting reports.
“We usually say it in the negative,” Jason said. “But it turns out that’s all these explorers are looking at.”
The former Eagles center also joked about how his wife says he has a ‘chicken ass’ after Travis named him the ‘ass you think of when you think about the NFL.’
“I don’t have an ass, Trav,” Jason said, to which the Chiefs tight end responded, “Dude, ask Kylie, she knows.”

In the same episode, Jason called out his wife, Kylie Kelce, who claimed he has a ‘chicken ass.’
‘Kylie says I have a chicken butt. That’s exactly what she says,” Jason stated. He then proceeded to call Kylie to prove her point to Travis.
‘Ky, what do you say my butt looks like?’ Jason asked on the line.
“A chicken ass,” Kylie confirmed. Later, Travis sighed and said, “She doesn’t look at the same ass.”
Jason continued reading excerpts from The Athletic story, pausing more and more to give his comments. The recently retired Eagles star insisted that big butts make especially useful defensive linemen.
“Especially the defensive line,” Jason said. ‘There’s something about the ass that helps you really ground yourself. I will say that I don’t like sloppy asses. I like a tight ass**. You want it to be a big, firm butt.
Travis and Jason insisted that having a big butt is especially helpful for defensive linemen.
“I think this is all very accurate for certain positions,” he continued. “I think you want more shapely, proportionate butts for most positions. Defensive line, you want a big ass. Who are you thinking of with the defensive line butts?”
‘What do you mean? All defensive linemen of all time? -Travis responded.
Jason concluded the segment by saying, “This is an accurate assessment of butts by some of the great trainers of all time.”
