A smart traveler has revealed how she manages to put clothes in one hand luggage for five days.

Although many prefer folding or rolling up their clothing, the anonymous woman said she has managed to ‘stack’ on top of each other at a 90-degree angle, that she has managed to pack more luggage than ever.

“I stopped rolling and folding and my clothes are less wrinkled when I arrive and I can carry more in the same room,” the traveler wrote reddit.

“I can pack a week in just a few minutes.”

The traveler said that the trick simply requires stacking clothing.

“I put the first item on the bed or floor, and then I rotated the next item 90 degrees,” she said.

“I keep turning 90 degrees and layered until I have everything in a pile.”

To conclude, the traveler said that she places small items such as underwear or socks in the middle and then folds the corners before placing the bundle in the suitcase.

The reason the packaging trick works is that by turning the items, the hems and the waist bands are alternated to prevent bulk at one end.

Using this method, the traveler said she was able to fit five days of clothing, two pairs of shoes, as well as toiletries and makeup in hand luggage.

The tip received mixed comments online, some of which said they will stick to rolling or folding their clothes, while others prefer compression bags to keep everything organized.

A mother also said that in addition to her suitcases she uses a “mothership bag” to keep essential items for every family member before arriving at the hotel.
