As the record champions announced on Thursday, Sturmjuwel Maximilian Wagner is coming to Säbener Straße for free, where he has signed “long-term”. The 19-year-old should initially appear primarily for the second team in the regional league.

In the current season, the striker, who was born in Regensburg and says he feels most comfortable as a striker, scored an impressive 15 goals in 19 appearances for the Stuttgart U19s.

“We’ve been following Max’s development for a number of years and are very pleased to have won him over to FC Bayern. We firmly believe that he will take the next steps here,” emphasized campus manager Jochen Sauer .
Sporting director Halil Altintop added: “He’s fast, technically adept and knows where the goal is. And he’s simply a good boy! We believe in his potential and that he will continue to develop very well with us.”
Before the start of his new adventure at FC Bayern, the teenager, who is part of the extended squad of the German U19 national team, still has a big challenge on the agenda: his final school exam.
“In the next few weeks I would like to concentrate fully on my last games at VfB and above all on my A-levels,” announced Wagner.
