The Traitors star Leanne Quigley has revealed her fiancée Sophie Jones has been given the all-clear after secretly battling breast cancer.
The former soldier, 28, who shares two-year-old twins with her partner, took to Instagram with an emotional post on Thursday, and presenter Claudia Winkleman was quick to send her best wishes.
Leanne spoke of her relief that her partner had beaten the disease, after the devastating diagnosis and subsequent battle with cancer “killed them both inside”.
She also shared snaps of herself sitting with Sophie in hospital during treatment, as well as a photo of them holding hands.
Leanne wrote: ‘This is the only news we needed and wanted. On July 31, 2024, my partner and mother of my children was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer. Seeing the person you love fight chemotherapy is one of the worst things in the world.”
“We quickly learned to never take anything for granted again and sadly, we had to learn that tomorrow is never promised and the fear of the unknown literally killed us inside.”

Leanne shared her relief that her partner had beaten the disease, after the devastating diagnosis and subsequent battle with cancer “killed them both inside” (pictured in the BBC programme).
And he continued: ‘Yesterday, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, the strongest woman on planet Earth was told she was cancer-free. She did it. I cannot express or put into words how proud I am and how amazed I am by their strength every day.
‘Today we begin to truly celebrate ourselves, our children and the excitement of the rest of our lives. I could never thank the NHS enough for literally saving my entire family. And the biggest thanks to our support system.’
‘We are so lucky to be surrounded by the most incredible family and friends. To anyone who is struggling or to anyone watching their loved ones fight this horrible disease. I see you and I feel you. Please don’t give up.’
Meanwhile, Sophie commented: ‘You’ve kept your head up and helped me get through this baby. I couldn’t wish for a better woman by my side, honestly, I love you so much.
‘Thank you for everything over the last 6 months. Now let’s go and enjoy our life.’
While Claudia shared support with a string of love heart emojis.
The couple got engaged last year, after his partner Sophie got down on one knee during a romantic proposal on a boat in August.
They are also proud parents and Leanne revealed that it was during her pregnancy that she decided to take part in The Traitors.
She also shared snaps of her sitting with Sophie in the hospital, as well as a photo of them holding hands (pictured together in 2024).

She explained that she watched the first series of the popular show while she was pregnant and Sophie had suggested she give it a try.
Speaking to the BBC ahead of her debut on the show, Leanne said she thought she could bring a lot of “excitement” to the castle.
She said: ‘I think I’ll bring a lot of enthusiasm. I am a really enthusiastic person. Always, even if there are things I don’t want to do, I try to do them with enthusiasm, because the best thing is to bring a little light to a dark situation.
“I’ve been rewatching the show this week and I’ve been watching it from a different perspective and trying to understand how stressful it is, how stressful it’s going to be, and just trying to process it and understand it.
It comes after Leanne shared a glimpse into her life serving in the military, after keeping her Armed Forces career a secret from her fellow contestants on the show as part of her strategy to win.
Instead, Leanne, who is Faithful, has managed to fool everyone into believing she works as a nail technician to mislead them.

After getting a large amount of coins, he joked, “All those physical training instructors in the army will say, if only you had worked so hard for us!”
On her social media, Leanne has proudly shown many glimpses of her 12 years of frontline service.
But in October, she revealed she was leaving the military on Instagram, writing, “A career of over 12 years comes to an end and I am so proud to have served our country.” I’m ready for my next chapter.’
