Traitors fans praised a brutal twist minutes into the first episode before host Claudia Winkleman revealed another major twist to the game.
Wednesday night saw the start of the third series in the Scottish Highlands as the top three Traitors were chosen.
But the drama began even before they arrived, when they were heading to the castle on the train.
The 25 players were divided into three cars and each car received a big surprise when the train suddenly stopped.
The train then began to back up as Claudia told them that each car had to choose one person to leave the train and the show.
Jack, Alexander and Fozia eventually volunteered to leave, but it remains to be seen if they will later return to the show or if they are truly gone for good.
Traitors fans praised a brutal twist minutes into the first episode before host Claudia Winkleman revealed another major twist to the game.
On Wednesday night the third series began in the Scottish Highlands as the first three Traitors were chosen.
Later in the show, Claudia revealed another big change to the show when she told the contestants that when people are eliminated they will no longer reveal whether they are Traitors or Faithful.
In the show, several Traitors are chosen at the beginning of the series, while the other contestants are Faithful.
Throughout the game, the Traitors have to convince the rest of the players that they are Faithful to try to steal the entire prize at the end.
In the first round table, Armani, Minah and Linda were selected as the first three traitors. The first night they murdered Yin, who was later eliminated from the show.
Reacting to the first twist, fans wrote on “. ,
“This series is going to be absolute chaos, 3 disappeared before they even got to the castle (or did), tears in the first 5 minutes, someone trying to maintain a fake Welsh accent because it sounds trustworthy, plus a traitor is already throwing another one under the bus.’,
‘A twist before they even reach the castle #TheTraitors!!!’,
‘So there will be some kind of twist, right? Will the three who got off the train end up returning at some point? #Traitors.’,

It comes after Claudia dropped a huge new clue about how The Traitors are cast when the fan-favourite show returns.
Claudia said this week about how The Traitors came to be: “I’m not a goddess and I don’t choose them alone.”
Claudia added that her chats with each player in the first episode, which viewers see on screen, are just the beginning of the election.
Afterwards, she and a group of five or six others deliberate who to choose, something Claudia described as “very stressful.”
When asked if she believed the right Traitors were chosen for season three, Claudia responded, “I have faith and whether I got it right or not, we’ll find out.”
“It’s always the right three.”
“It could have been three different ones, but it was those three and after talking to them, they all seemed like the right three.”
comes after her revealed his terror at the return of the hit show.
Speaking ahead of the first episode, she said she is “totally terrified” it will do as well as the first two series.
“I don’t exhale until January 24, I wake up at 4 in the morning, even on strict Saturdays,” he said.
“I was talking about people’s Cha Chas, but in my head I’m thinking, well, ‘do they like The Traitors?’
“We are totally terrified, because the success of the first one left us speechless. We didn’t expect it.
And I love doing it. It’s a great honor to be at that roundtable and watch it unfold.
‘So I feel incredibly lucky. “I love it and you don’t want people to feel disappointed.”
She went on to say that she keeps in touch with former contestants from the first two series and that at the end of filming most of them call her “mum”.
“They’re like my children, who I’m incredibly mean to sometimes,” she said. I love them, each and every one of them. The other day I was texting Maddie from series one.
‘I messaged Charlotte’s aunt, Matt from season one, he wanted to show me his new ability. It was skateboarding. In the end they call me Aunt Claude or Mom, it’s weird.
“So I keep in touch with all of them because, yeah, I’m very grateful to them for playing and playing the way they do.” I really cried when someone was banished this year, but I cried appropriately and in a way that I thought was probably unhealthy.
And two of them came out, and they were incredible. Three of us just cried together. We go deeper.’
Claudia previewed a “new format” for the third series, which will have people “on the edge of their seats.”
Following the success of the British series, which is filmed at Adross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, an American version was also released.
Presented by Alan Cummings, she said she finds it difficult to see him because she is territorial about the castle.
“I’m not saying anything bad, but I can’t keep an eye on him because he’s in my castle,” he said.
‘What are you doing? It was so strange. It’s not strange. It’s absolutely magical. But I looked a little and no.
In the first round table, Armani, Minah and Linda were selected as the first three traitors. The first night they murdered Yin who was later eliminated from the show.
It’s much better. And I love their outfits, but it’s a different way of doing it, because it’s the same place, and I think, ‘get out of my castle.’
Last week, Claudia revealed to The Midpoint podcast that she initially turned down presenting the show because she didn’t want to spend more than three weeks filming in Scotland.
The star was offered the job but turned it down because he didn’t want to be away from his family.
But after watching the original Dutch version, he became “obsessed” and quickly emailed BBC bosses to change their minds.
