Another commenter added, “What impressed me was how much they loved each other.”
Smith met oil tycoon Marshall while performing at a Houston strip club in October 1991 while she was 24 and he was 86.
The two enjoyed a two-year relationship with Marshall reportedly showering her with expensive gifts and asking the blonde bombshell’s hand in marriage on several occasions.
The two eventually married on June 27, 1994 which led to speculation that Smith was only marrying him for the money despite her insistence that she loved him and that age did not matter to her.
But 13 months after their wedding day, Marshall passed away at the age of 90 on August 4, 1995.
She was later involved in a very ugly court battle over his estate after his death as he had verbally promised her half of his estate which consisted of 16 percent of Koch Industries which was worth $1.6 billion at the time.
Smith appeared in court saying, “He was just a wonderful man whom I loved dearly.”
