The body of a woman, believed to be Tanatorn Tiyata (pictured), has been found in woodland in Sydney's south-west.

The body of a woman was found in woodland in Sydney’s southwest during a police search on Monday afternoon.

The body is believed to be that of 66-year-old Tanatorn Tiyata, who was reported missing to Campbelltown police last month.

Police searched a field in the suburb of Denham Court, north of Campbelltown, at around 1pm on Monday when they discovered the body.

Ms Tiyata was last seen at Denham Court on 26 July before being reported missing.

His family was concerned for his well-being as he suffered from several medical conditions.

The woman’s identity has not been confirmed and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
