Los Angeles authorities have revealed the cause of death on July 19 of Slash’s stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, at age 25.
Los Angeles County Medical Examiner published a statement Lucy-Bleu Knight’s cause of death was said to be hydrogen sulfide toxicity and the “manner of death was suicide.”
Authorities said “Knight was found unresponsive at a private residence on July 19 by police conducting a welfare check” and was pronounced dead at 3 p.m. local time.
A deputy medical examiner conducted the examination on July 22 and certified the cause of death on Thursday, authorities said.

“My heart is forever fractured,” Slash said in an emotional July 27 Instagram post, sharing a touching selfie of Lucy-Bleu detailing his grief. “I will never stop missing you and remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity and beauty you have always been…and continue to be.”
She continued: “You are the brightest light in the lives of so many people who loved you so much. I find comfort in the hope that you are now at peace. I will love you forever.”
Slash had cancelled four dates of his solo SERPENT Tour to mourn his devastating loss.

The statement continued: ‘Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer and a lovely, adorable and sweet soul.
‘The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that speculation on social media be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.’
Slash first dated Lucy’s mother, Meegan Hodges, in 1989 before rekindling their relationship years later in 2015.
Meegan, who shared her late daughter Lucy with Mark Knight, also shared the same statement on her Instagram, writing: ‘I love you.’
In an emotional July 27 Instagram post, Slash shared a touching selfie of Lucy-Bleu and detailed his pain at losing her.

Three hours after Slash posted the announcement, a selfie of Lucy was shared along with a caption on his Instagram.
It said, ‘Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of receiving financial support from my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity, I am sorry.
‘Countless opportunities and connections lost due to a disgustingly large ego, an insecure heart, and the fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job of being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.’

Hours before the tragic announcement, Slash cancelled a series of tour dates due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
The message read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the SERPENT tour has regrettably had to cancel the performances listed below. Refunds will be offered at point of purchase.
‘The SERPENT tour will resume in Toronto on July 28, 2024 at the Budweiser Stage. We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.’
Slash received condolences from his famous friends while he was grieving.
