Tragedy when a father and young daughter are killed after their car crashes into a bus

A 41-year-old father and young daughter were killed in a horrific head-on collision with a bus.
The Tasmanian father and daughter’s sedan collided with the bus on Algona Road in Kingston, south of Hobart, at about 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Police inspector Jason Elmer said witnesses rushed to help the couple, but both died on the spot.
“There was certainly a very serious collision between the bus and the affected sedan,” he said.

‘It was a traumatic scene and for people to come forward and help. We appreciate the help that was provided. ‘
The driver of the private bus, who had no passengers, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Another driver involved in the smash was transported for review.
The road, which police said was busy at the time of the crash, remained closed for most of the day before reopening at 6pm.
