A man’s body has been found in Lake Parramatta, western Sydney.
Emergency workers were called to the area shortly before 6:30 pm on Monday after it was reported that the man went under water and did not surface.
Police said his body was found in the water at around 9.30pm after a search involving water police, paramedics and a rescue helicopter.
The man, believed to be 23 years old, has not been formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
