A man was found dead in the waters of a popular beach on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
A water skier contacted emergency services after discovering the man unconscious in the waters off Tyrone Beach, Rye, on Friday afternoon.
The man was brought ashore but, despite CPR being administered, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Victoria Police said they have yet to determine how he died, but the death is not suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
