A family has been shocked by the death of their five-year-old boy who was struck by a reversing car while on vacation.
Jack Brown, 5, was fatally struck just after 9am on July 3 at Blackbutt North in Queensland’s South Burnett region, where the family was camping.
It is understood that it was playing behind the vehicle when it struck it, with the boy’s parents witnessing the incident.
The death of five-year-old Jack Brown, who was fatally struck by a reversing car while playing behind the vehicle on a family holiday, has been described as “incomprehensible”.
TO fundraising has been created by a close family friend, Sara Beath, for people to join Jim, Carla and their eight-year-old son, Parker.
“This tragedy is absolutely incomprehensible and beyond unbearable for Jim and Carla, and everyone involved,” GoFundMe states.
“Jack’s death leaves an impassable path for eight-year-old Jim, Carla and Parker.
“Sadly, this go fund me has been established to allow those who join Jim, Carla and Parker at this devastating time to contribute to the expenses they will incur as a result of this unimaginable tragedy.”

A close family friend, Sara Beath, has organized a fundraiser for people to join Jim, Carla and their other son.
Tributes have poured in to the family and Jack, with the incident being described as “a parent’s worst nightmare”.
Thinking of all of Jack’s family and friends at this heartbreaking time. Praying for all of you,” wrote one donor.
“Worst news I’ve ever had. I send my condolences to you, your family and friends,” said another.
“This is a parent’s worst nightmare,” added a third donor.
