A quiet suburban community in Oklahoma City is in shock after a family of five, including two children, was found dead and police confirmed “they all died violently” on Monday.
All five victims had injuries consistent with homicide, police Sgt. Gary Caballero.
“This was not a gas leak situation or a fentanyl type situation, this is five people who died,” Knight said. ‘We are talking about children who are inside this house and are victims of this. “It is a very tragic, very sad situation.”
Knight said a man and a woman were among those found dead, but he did not know the sex or ages of all the victims. The relationship between the victims has also not been revealed.
He said officers who arrived at the scene around 9:30 a.m. left the home after determining that all of the victims were deceased and that investigators were obtaining a search warrant before beginning to search the scene for evidence.
Early in the investigation, police confirmed that there was no threat to the general public, indicating that the incident was a murder suicide. The bodies were discovered by a 10-year-old boy, reports The Oklahoman.

Among the victims are two minors and a recent high school graduate, according to authorities
The school district, Mustang Public Schools, confirmed in a statement that a sixth-grade student at the local Meadow Brook Intermediate school and a ninth-grade student at Mustang Middle School were among the dead.
A 2023 graduate of the same high school was also killed. A crisis team will be present at all schools in the district to help students through this difficult time.
‘We are shocked and our hearts are broken; “This tragedy simply defies understanding,” Superintendent Charles Bradley wrote in a statement to parents.
“No one expected it, it was very shocking. You know, like I said, they were a big family,” said neighbor Brian Graham. KFOR.
‘They were good friends of ours. They came down all the time and we had meetings together. We are really going to miss them. “We really wish this hadn’t happened,” he added.
