A body has been found on a Dutch beach during the search for a British teenager who went missing while swimming with her friends.
On Sunday at 8.30pm, four bathers got into trouble while swimming in the North Sea off the seaside resort of Scheveningen in The Hague.
Three were rescued, but a fourth, reportedly an 18-year-old woman from the UK, was not found.
Rescuers said there was little hope of finding her alive after searching for two hours and failing to locate her.
Although investigations are ongoing, it is believed that the person found last night is probably the missing British teenager, according to local media.

The three people rescued on Sunday are believed to have been trying to save the teenager before getting into trouble.
A witness who saw the drama unfold said two of the children had wounds on their legs and were covered in blood.
They added that there was an older woman there who was apparently the mother of one of the children who was “panicking and screaming.”
According to a local source, the boys would have had no chance of saving the teenager, as the water was too rough and impassable. “The boys barely survived,” they said.
The injuries are believed to have occurred when they were swept against the rocky quay that forms the harbour separating the beaches of Ijduin and Scheveningen in The Hague.
According to The Hague fire department, the group was near Zuidelijk Havenhoofd, a green lighthouse and popular tourist spot on the south pier.
A body was found in the sea last night, Regio15 reports, and a lifeboat was called in to recover it.
Police were also on the scene after receiving reports of the discovery around 7 p.m.
