Melbourne is experiencing major traffic delays during rush hour this morning after a multi-vehicle crash on the Monash Highway.

Three exit lanes between Eastlink and Stud Road in Dandenong North have been closed and drivers have been asked to consider using the Princes Highway instead.

“Please respect overhead signals and merge early,” VicTraffic said.

Victoria Police said a truck collided with another truck and then a car in an exit lane between Eastlink and Stud Road at 6am on Tuesday.

“The occupants of the three vehicles were not injured,” police said.

“The exact circumstances of the collision will be investigated.”

On the Tullamarine Highway, two exit lanes have been closed following a crash on Racecourse Road. Two lanes remain open.

Victoria Police and the Transurban Incident Management Team are in attendance.

Meanwhile, eastbound lanes have reopened on Sussex Street in Coburg North following a collision earlier Tuesday morning.

Drivers were asked to be patient as delays eased in both directions.

Two right lanes were closed just past Lorne Street following a collision.

VicTraffic said that as of 7am one inbound lane and two outbound lanes remained open.
