Tracy Beaker star Deepal Parmar seems to be a long way from the days when she found fame.
The former actress, now 36, played teenager Chantal Wellard in the hit CBBC drama series The Story of Tracy Beaker from 2004 to 2005.
But almost two decades later, Deepal now works for Odeon Cinema Group and has done so for three years.
According to her LinkedIn, she works as a sales director for the movie giant and can still be seen visiting premieres on the red carpet.
In an Instagram post, she is seen wearing a sparkly dress at the launch of Paul Mescal’s blockbuster Gladiator II.
In another, he puts on a crisp white suit for a mirror selfie while smiling before a night out.

The Story of Tracy Beaker first aired on the children’s network from 2002 to 2005 and was adapted from Dame Jacqueline Wilson’s hard-hitting book series.
It focused on a group of children who grew up in care and featured a number of child actors.
Deepal arrived at the beginning of the fourth season with her younger half-siblings Roxy and Rio, and she was the only one of the trio who had contact with their father.
She left early in the fifth season in an episode titled Chantal’s Goodbye, where her character decided to live with her father.
Deepal also appeared in Casualty and Doctors, and his most recent credit is as Amandeep in the 2024 short The Visit.
Following the end of the series, lead actress Dani Harmer starred in the comedy Dani’s House for the same network and signed a £3 million record deal with Decca.
The album never came to fruition and she returned to her signature role. for Tracy Beaker Returns, which helped launch the now-acclaimed actress’ career Mia McKenna-Bruce.
In 2012, Dani competed on Strictly Come Dancing and left her role as Tracy again the following year.

Dani also appears regularly in pantomime and this year stars in Beauty and the Beast in York.
In 2024, she started a YouTube series in which she and her former co-star Cheslie Padley, who left show business behind to focus on a sports career, interview their co-stars.
