A shocking video of tourists running toward a bear in Yellowstone National Park has gone viral and sparked backlash on social media.
The clip shows a mother black bear and her two cubs sniffing in the grass, alongside a road full of queued cars.
Suddenly, a group of tourists jump out of their vehicles, point, then start sprinting toward the bears.
There are four men running, one of whom appears to be carrying a toddler in his arms, while a woman appears approaching the animals with a camera.
Fortunately, the mother bear and her cubs seemed surprised by the approaching people and quickly ran away from the cars.
A shocking video of tourists running toward a bear in Yellowstone Park has gone viral and sparked backlash on social media.
However, internet users were quick to point out on social media that the situation could have ended very differently.
Journalist Yashar Ali shared the video on Twitter, calling their actions “absolutely senseless” and “sick.”
In response to the video, someone else wrote: “We witnessed this phenomenon about 12 years ago when we visited Yellowstone. People are yelling at their children to run to their mothers and babies. MAD.’
Another said: “The multiple things that could go wrong here. Wow.’
In response to the comments, Yashar added: “Really, how do people get to the point where they act like this? » Have they learned nothing? Do they think they will be different?
Viewers were appalled by the tourists’ lack of knowledge of the danger that awaited them, writing “It could have ended so badly” and “On today’s episode of A Thousand Ways to Die…”
Another added: “For people so interested in watching bears, it’s obvious that none of these clowns have ever watched a documentary about them.”
However, it is shocking that tourists put themselves in life-threatening situations like this, which is actually a common occurrence in Yellowstone.

Suddenly, a group of tourists jump out of their vehicles, point, then start sprinting toward the bears.

Internet users quickly pointed out on social networks that the situation could have ended very differently.
So much so that there is an entire Instagram account dedicated to it, called Tourons of Yellowstone – a play on words mixing “tourists” and “morons”.
The account owner says it “never ceases to amaze them” “how stupid people are!” and they regularly share videos of tourists doing questionable things in the national park.
He has over 410,000 subscribers and his videos often go viral.
In the most recent post, we see another tourist approach a black bear to take a photo, captioned “KEEP AWAY from the bear, turrón.”
The account also posted three separate videos of an unidentified man continually harassing bears in Yellowstone.
However, by the third time, the bear had had enough and attacked him.
The video was captioned with “This is now the THIRD video of the same nougat harassing black bears…”
“This behavior is unacceptable, we all know that. Even this turrón knows it. Please do not harass wildlife inside or outside the park.
Last month, another Yellowstone tourist was criticized for cornering a massive bison while holding a baby.
Visitors must keep a distance of at least 25 meters from bison.
Netizens were left stunned, with more than 200 comments expressing outrage at the man’s negligence.
