The English international said he was in a ‘fantastic’ spot and wanted to keep improving
In a video on the club’s Twitter page, he said he felt “privileged” with the team and believes he can accomplish much more in this new chapter.
“I am very happy to continue here and commit to this new journey we are taking,” he said.
“It’s crazy to think I’ve been here six years. I enjoyed it very much and it was fantastic to work under the manager I worked under and the one I work under now. I am very lucky and privileged to be in this club with this setup, with the players here it is a fantastic place to be.
“The club gave me my chance with England, it has given me so much since. We’ve had great times together and I want to have even better times and I still feel like I have a lot to achieve here. ‘

Dier said he remains ambitious and although he has helped Spurs fight the title in recent seasons, he is desperate to go a step further and lift some silverware under Mourinho – adding that it felt like the beginning of a new journey.
“I just feel like that 20-year-old when I first arrived, that’s the feeling I have now, I feel like I’m at the beginning of a new journey,” he added.
“My goals are very clear to me – I want to be one of the best in my Premier League position and that’s one of the reasons I wanted to stay here and capture my future. I want to prove myself in this position and Tottenham is the best place to do that.
“My clear goal, and the manager’s clear goal, is to try and win trophies for the club. The manager’s record and mentality regarding trophies – that was a huge thing for me. When the day comes to leave this club, I want to leave knowing I have. ‘

Dier has played 29 times in all competitions for the club in a tough campaign that banned him four games after invading the stands after a 2-1 defeat to Norwich in the FA Cup.
The 26-year-old was also fined £ 40,000 for the March episode, scrambling to confront a supporter who’d been involved in an argument with his brother. Dier admitted that his actions were “inappropriate”, but denied that they were “threatening.”
He has played against Bournemouth, Arsenal, Newcastle and Leicester, but returns for Tottenham’s last game of the season at Crystal Palace.
