A spokesman for Total Energies said that 31 percent of workers in major French oil refineries and storage facilities went on strike on Friday morning.
Energy Minister Agnès Pannier Ronacher said today, Friday, that fuel shipments from the company’s Gonfriville refinery in Normandy resumed early this morning after police intervened to disperse the workers who closed it.
The police opened the way to the refinery early this morning so that the employees could go to work.
