Tori Spelling revealed that she still has two of her children’s placentas in the freezer, despite the fact that she last gave birth to her youngest son, Beau McDermott, in 2017.
During Friday’s episode of her Spelling error On the podcast, the reality star, 51, admitted she “wasn’t sure which” of her children’s placentas were “in there.”
“There are two placentas in the freezer,” she told listeners. “Unless you have the world’s largest placenta, there are two containers in there.”
While explaining why she was still holding on to the placenta, Spelling insisted it was normal to “freeze them.”
“They say it’s good luck to eat it, or it’s good luck to bury it, or it’s good luck to send it and turn it into powder so they can make it into pills,” said the mother of five. “I’m too lazy to send it. It’s one thing.”
Tori Spelling revealed that she still has the placentas of two of her children in the freezer, despite last giving birth to her youngest son, Beau McDermott, in 2017.
She continued: ‘It’s supposed to be good for your body, it’s taken out of your body and it’s good to put back into your body.’
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum insisted she had no idea if the placentas were from her pregnancies with Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, or Finn, 11, before noting that a few others over the years were “lost” in past moves.
However, Spelling revealed that she was definitely still in possession of the placenta from Beau’s pregnancy.
Interestingly, the best-selling author revealed that the placenta from her most recent pregnancy was stored at her best friend’s house.
“I feel so sorry for my best friend Jess because (Beau’s) is still in her freezer,” the actress said. “She obviously came to the hospital the day Beau was born. She’s come to the hospital for every birth… But because I had a C-section and we had complications and Beau had something (where) we had to stay in the hospital for a while.”
During that time, she recalled asking her friend Jess, ‘Can you please take the placenta home because I just got it and I don’t know what to do with it? ‘ So Jess, like a true best friend, took it home with her.
Despite her generosity in bringing the placenta home, Spelling confessed that she had tested Jess’s patience by failing to retrieve it.
“I feel like he’s asked me several times in the last seven years to take back what I said and I’m like, ‘Yeah, next time I’m there, I’m not doing it,'” Spelling reflected. “I’m not backing out, but I’m going to do it. Someday I will.”
During Friday’s episode of her podcast Misspelling, the reality star, 51, admitted she was “not sure which” of her children’s placentas was “there” (seen with son Beau earlier this month).
Spelling’s admission comes after Spelling revealed she would love to have another child.
“I would love to have another baby,” said Tori, who is in the middle of a divorce from Dean McDermott.
The conversation began after guest Sara Evans, 53, explained that she would “love to be pregnant again,” prompting Spelling to chime in: “Same here, dude!”
“There’s no better time in your life than when you bring that baby home,” Sara said. “I never complained about losing sleep, nothing like that, I loved it.”
Spelling admitted that she was “totally in menopause” and expressed regret at not freezing her eggs.
“There are two (placentas in the freezer),” he told listeners. ‘Unless you have the biggest placenta in the world, there are two tubs in there’ (seen last year with her kids Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, and Finn, 11, and Beau, as well as her ex-husband Dean McDermott)
McDermott first announced their split in a since-deleted Instagram post shared in June 2023.
Earlier this year, Spelling revealed that she stayed “longer” than she should have in their marriage because she didn’t want him to feel “emasculated.”
“We are not just women who make money, we are women who have power, we are women who have fame, I don’t know anything different. I feel guilty,” she said during a chat on her podcast with Shannen Doherty.
Tori then shared her concerns about meeting a future partner, expressing uncertainty and vulnerability.
‘How can I be with a man and he doesn’t feel less than me just because of my status?’ she told Shannen.
Shannen insisted that Tori could find a partner who would value her accomplishments, but Tori had a different perspective.
“I don’t agree with you,” she began. “I always say to all the guys I’ve been with, ‘There’s a lot of shit that goes with me.'”
Tori is currently in the middle of a divorce from her ex-husband Dean McDermott; seen in June 2022
Earlier this year, the star explained that preconceived notions about her character hindered her ability to move forward before finally filing for divorce in March after 18 years of marriage; Tori and Dean in 2019
Tori also recounted the explosive fight between her and Dean that led to their split, during which the actress smashed a baked potato on the floor.
The actress said she and Dean began arguing after returning home from a day on set in June 2023.
Dean allegedly made a dig at her that he “knew would be really painful to hear.”
The actress did not reveal Dean’s exact words, but recalled that his comment affected her deeply, to the point that she angrily slammed a loaded baked potato she had been preparing onto the kitchen floor.
“This guttural scream came out of me,” Tori recalled. ‘It wasn’t even like a sexy scream, like running in a horror movie. It was like a beast. It wasn’t pretty at all.
‘And I said, ‘Fuck you!’ And I took my most prized possession at the time, my roast potato. It was loaded perfectly and I slammed it into the ground.
Spelling and McDermott share five children: Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, seven. McDermott is also father to son Jack, 25, whom he shares with ex Mary Jo Eustace, 61.
After his outburst, a wave of regret washed over Spelling. She retreated to a bedroom, reflecting that she and Dean had been sleeping apart for about three years, a decision she attributed to him.
An ‘excited’ Dean began pounding on the closed door before entering the bedroom through an exterior entrance that Tori had neglected to secure.
“So he came in and he was really, really upset. And he said, ‘I want a divorce. This is over.’ And I said, ‘Okay. Great. Fine.’”
That same day, Tori recalled, Dean publicly announced his divorce via an Instagram post, which she only found out about when her 15-year-old daughter informed her about it.
He added: “I felt like this giant rock had been lifted from my chest. I could breathe deeply and I thought, “Oh my God. He said it, so now I’m free.” . . He did it and now I can move on. He said it, let’s go. Yes. He needed this ‘”I couldn’t do it myself.”
Dean deleted the post the next morning, but by then, news of the split had gone viral. The couple “just carried on as if nothing had happened.”
