Top French jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot in police custody after new sexual assault allegation next party last year

Three-time champion jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot of France was in police custody in Chantilly on Tuesday after being arrested on a charge of sexual assault.
Boudot and his legal team vigorously denied any wrongdoing.
It is the second time that 28-year-old Boudot has been linked to such an allegation. In 2018, a complaint was filed against him by a female amateur rider for an alleged sexual assault that occurred in 2015. The jockey refuted the claims in a statement released in January 2020 through his lawyer.

The latest accusation is said to be the result of an incident at a party in Cagnes-sur-Mer last February. No charges have been filed and the prosecutor’s office will provide more information today.
Meanwhile, High Definition, trained by Aidan O’Brien, leads the 11 entries to the Dante Stakes in York. Hollie Doyle will compete for O’Brien for the first time, along with Roman Empire.
Tuesday’s meeting in Wetherby was called off after one race when heavy rain left the water on the track.
