When it comes to style, we all get inspired by what we see; Whether it’s a well-dressed celebrity, a dazzling catwalk show, or even a fashionable passer-by.
As fashion editors, we’ve been swayed by all of the above, and then some. We’re running under the radar labels; We get a first-hand look at the collections months before they hit stores; we attend VIP events; We’ve taken advantage of brands that offer chic yet cheap deals and we’ve shopped around—a lot.
To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest and greatest just about to happen. We hope this Friday Series will serve as a buying guide and point of inspiration for everyone.
This week’s edition focuses on the most important fashion events ahead of the festival season.

Fashionable dinner
Fiorucci celebrated her Spring 2023 collection and festival season at West Hollywood Edition’s Ardor Terrace in Los Angeles this week.
For the special evening, artistic director Daniel W. Fletcher hosted an intimate dinner with the costume and music personalities.
The iconic label was founded in 1967 by Elio Fiorucci as a collaborative brand where fashion, art and music intertwine.
Attendees perfectly embodied the brand’s vision and beliefs with influencers such as Chriselle Lim and Kelsey Merritt, and Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan, in attendance.
Chriselle looked chic in a black dress topped with a “Graphic Poster Wall” denim jacket by Fiorucci.
While Kelsey Merritt, actress Georgie Flores, and Tiktoker Zack Lugo all designed beautiful pieces from the new collection to reflect their personalities.

Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan donned a denim jacket and matching jeans featuring laser lettering
Troye wore the complete Fiorucci look with a logo blazer and jeans laser monogram.
The latest collection plays with bold graphics and prints inspired by the brand’s archives, including their iconic angels in a new liquid chrome graphic adorned with faded sweats, crop tops and silk shirts.
“I start each season digging through Fiorucci’s archives and one of the things I discovered this season was a stack of photos of a Beverly Hills department store event in the ’70s for Blondie’s Parallel Lines album launch,” said Daniel Fletcher.
Los Angeles is an important part of Fiorucci’s history and I love hearing the stories of the store that took the Beverly Theater pumping music and Andy Warhol and Joan Jett hanging out in the store; It feels like a rough time, so I always like to bring the brand back here and celebrate where we are today with the new generation of creators who are now part of the Fiorucci family.
