A Colorado cardiologist has been accused of rape by ten different women after he was initially accused of sexually assaulting a woman he met on the dating app Hinge, filming women he drugged and attempting to blackmailed with revenge porn.
Stephen Matthews, 35, was originally arrested in April after being charged with sexually assaulting a woman.
On Monday, after attending a hearing in Denver on a complaint, he was arrested on the courthouse steps after other accusers made similar allegations.
The original accuser said after corresponding on the popular dating app, they went out, had drinks, at which point she says he drugged and raped her, according to an affidavit.
Matthews denied the charges, saying he and the woman had consensual sex.
After the accusation became public, another woman came forward to accuse Matthews of doing the same after also meeting him on Hinge.

The second woman said she met Matthews at a bar before returning home where she was offered tequila and a soda before going to the bathroom.
After drinking some of it, she began to feel “unbalanced”, also alleging that Matthews filmed her at one point.
She said she didn’t remember much after that, but she got sick while driving an Uber home. The woman believes Matthews sexually assaulted her.
When the doctor was initially charged, police asked for possible other victims to come forward.
Eight other women eventually accused Matthews of sexual assault, and many of the same patterns have emerged over the past four years. An alleged assault occurred last January.
Many women have said they passed out after drinking with Matthews and several accuse him of sexual assault.
An accuser said Matthews “sent him pictures of herself naked in the hot tub” after she refused to see him again. Another said she woke up with bite marks on her arms.
Matthews was attending a hearing involving charges from the first accuser on Monday when he was arrested outside the courtroom on other charges.

“He’s supposed to do things,” Cohen said Monday. “A lot of people are accused of doing things – I’ll leave it at that.”
In an interview, one of the first victims said that Matthews “very clearly has been doing this for a long time, the same way and it’s terrifying”.
