Tony Hinchcliffe’s wild set at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally was partially censored by the Trump campaign, which asked him to omit a joke in which he called Kamala Harris a c***.
Hinchcliffe made jokes at the expense of Puerto Rico, liberals and celebrities at Sunday’s blockbuster rally, drawing rebukes from Democrats and Republicans.
However, it seems Hinchcliffe was about to cross an even bigger line before Team Trump told him to step aside.
In fact, a Trump campaign source called the joke “a red flag” that needed to be removed from the set.
“(Hinchcliffe) joked calling Harris a c***,” the source claimed.

Hinchcliffe made jokes at the expense of Puerto Rico, liberals and celebrities at Sunday’s blockbuster rally, drawing rebukes from Democrats and Republicans.
Several anonymous sources said The bastion that the joke was cut before reaching the Teleprompter.
They asked Hinchcliffe to remove it from his prepared and presented remarks and he agreed.
When asked about comments referring to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage,” staff claimed they were unaware he would say that, claiming he had improvised.
Hinchcliffe has not yet commented on that allegation.
Trump’s normally bellicose campaign took the rare step of distancing itself from Hinchcliffe.
“This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” senior adviser Danielle Alvarez said in a statement.
While mocking celebrity Democrats, Hinchcliffe’s offbeat comment about Puerto Rico even surprised the MAGA faithful in the world’s most famous arena.
‘Right now there is literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean. I think it’s called Puerto Rico,’ he said.
Hinchcliffe was about to cross an even bigger line before Team Trump told him to cut it.
The joke, which Hinchcliffe had devised at a New York comedy club the night before, received a lukewarm response from the crowd and widespread condemnation from Democrats, Republicans and even Trump’s own campaign.
A series of Puerto Rican stars responded by endorsing Harris and sharing their plans for the US territory.
Ricky Martin, the Puerto Rican superstar with 18.6 million followers on Instagram, quickly shared a video of Harris’ appeal to Puerto Rican voters, along with a clip of Hinchcliffe’s disparaging comments.
“This is what they think of us,” Martín wrote in Spanish. ‘Vote for @kamalaharris.’
Jennifer López shared the same video and several slides showing Harris’ policy in Puerto Rico to her 250 million followers.
The video shared by Bad Bunny on Instagram shows Harris saying “there is a lot at stake in this election for Puerto Rican voters and for Puerto Rico.” A representative for the artist confirmed that Bad Bunny is supporting Harris.
The artist then shared another part of the clip where Harris says: ‘I will never forget what Donald Trump did and did not do when Puerto Rico needed a supportive and competent leader.’
Two Florida Republicans joined in condemning the prank, including Sen. Rick Scott.
‘This prank backfired for a reason. It’s not funny and it’s not true. Puerto Ricans are amazing people and amazing Americans! I have been to the island many times. “It’s a beautiful place,” Scott wrote.

‘Everyone should visit us! I will always do everything I can to help any Puerto Rican in Florida or on the island.’
Congresswoman María Salazar wrote: ‘Disgusted by @TonyHinchclifferacist comment calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.” “This rhetoric does not reflect the values of the Republican Party.”
‘Puerto Rico sent more than 48,000 soldiers to Vietnam, and more than 345 Purple Hearts were awarded. This bravery deserves respect,” he added. ‘Educate yourself!
Anthony D’Esposito, a New York congressman who attended the rally, wrote: ‘I am proud to be Puerto Rican. My mother was born and raised in Puerto Rico. It is a beautiful island with a rich culture and an integral part of the United States. The only thing that’s ‘garbage’ was a bad comedy. Stay on message.’
So far, the only person Hinchcliffe has responded to about the joke is vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.
The Minnesota governor referred to Hinchcliffe as a ‘fool’ in a Twitch stream with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Sunday.
‘These people have no sense of humor. “It’s crazy that a VP candidate would take time out of his ‘busy schedule’ to analyze a joke taken out of context to make it appear racist,” Hinchcliffe wrote on social media.
‘I love Puerto Rico and vacationing there. I made fun of everyone…watch the full set. I’m a comedian Tim…maybe it’s time to change your tampon.’

Trump spoke to a packed crowd at Madison Square Garden with nine days left in the presidential election campaign.
Pennsylvania has about 500,000 Puerto Ricans. The state that will most likely decide the election.
Harris seized on the attacks as she competes with the former president to win over Puerto Rican communities in battleground states expected to decide the election.
“Puerto Ricans deserve a president who sees and invests in (their) strength,” Harris said in a clip posted on social media alongside Hinchcliffe’s comments.
Hinchcliffe also made a crude joke about the procreation of Puerto Ricans and other immigrants during his comedy set at the Manhattan landmark.
