Tommy Fury told Soccer Aid viewers he had “never watched football” when he took part in Sunday’s charity match.
The former Love Island star, 25, threw the ball underarm after coming on as a substitute midway through the game.
He started by holding the ball above his head while figuring out where to throw it in the Stamford Bridge match.
But the younger brother of boxer Tyson Fury, in a sudden movement, decided to hold the ball below his waist and make it roll.
One fan wrote: ‘Look at the status of this Tommy Fury release!’

After the fish-out-of-water performance, fans questioned how much experience Fury had before the match.

Another fan added: “I used to think Lee Mack was the worst player to ever appear on the #SoccerAid pitch but now it’s Tommy Fury.” He throws with his arm and kicks the grass playfully to see if he expects him to stay put.
Joe Cole gave England the lead with a classic finish at Stamford Bridge before his former Lille teammate Eden Hazard responded with a free kick for the visitors.
Alessandro Del Piero gave the World XI the lead soon after, but Ellen White equalized to become the first woman to score a goal in Soccer Aid.
Fans on social media mocked Fury after his first-half cameo went wrong.

Two familiar faces returned to Stamford Bridge on June 9
Robbie Williams co-founded Soccer Aid in 2006 with Jonathan Wilkes and the event aims to unite nations to help raise money and awareness for children around the world.
Some of the fan favorites returning to the game include Usain Bolt and Tommy Fury, while the team has also been rejuvenated with new faces such as Gladiators star ‘Diamond’ and Sam Thompson.
Other notable celebrities set to appear include singer and actor Bobby Brazier, Danny Dyer, Paddy McGuinness, Martin Compston, as well as comedians Maisie Adams, Lee Mack and Jason Manford.
