After the cameras showed Tommy’s face inside the stadium, he was greeted with boos and jeers from a large number of the 96,000 fans in attendance.
Fortunately, he took it in good spirits, fluffing his ears and smiling.
Tommy had answered questions about his private life earlier in the day at a Q&A session in Box Park.
Asked what had been happening lately, he replied: “Quite a bit, to be honest… A lot of things have happened, some good, some bad, but the media will be the media in the end.”
“But let’s talk a bit about boxing. I’m excited to be at Wembley and I think it’s going to be a great night of boxing. I’m looking forward to every fight on the card and I think there will be some explosive fights.”
He then stated that he wanted to return to the ring in December before stating that his goal was to fight five or six times a year.

“I’m a fighter at the end of the day,” he said. “Everything else I’ve learned throughout my life, but I’ve spent my whole life being a fighter, so that’s what I want to do and what I want to come back to.”
Molly and Tommy ended their engagement last month after dating for five years and welcoming 20-month-old daughter Bambi.
Speculation about their sudden breakup has run rampant and Tommy later broke his silence to claim that “the false accusations about me have been horrendous.”
And on Tuesday, Tommy confirmed he is set to reveal the truth about his split from Molly-Mae in a new chapter of his upcoming autobiography.
The boxer previously announced plans to release his tell-all memoir, Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury, in October.
However, following talks with publishers amid their shocking split, Tommy has now made changes to his book and will address the reasons for the split.
Taking to his Instagram stories, the athlete told fans that this past month had not been “easy,” before confirming that his book will contain an “extra chapter” to reflect on “current” events in his life.
He explained: ‘Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well. As you all know, the last month has not been easy for me, but I have had a lot of questions about my book Lightning Can Strike Twice.
“I just want to come here and confirm that the book is coming out next month and is still available for pre-order.”
Tommy continued: “I’ve also tried to keep it as up to date as possible for you guys. I’ve written an extra chapter, obviously to talk about what’s been going on over the last month. So yeah, just wanted to say that the book is moving forward.”
It was previously reported in August that publishers were holding meetings over the boxer’s upcoming memoir amid his shock split from fellow Love Island star Molly-Mae.
As stated at the time, there was “great concern” about the yet-to-be-published book. which was written before the consequences and is said to present exciting chapters about Tommy’s romance with Molly-Mae.
