Tom Sandoval keeps a low profile while stepping out in LA one day after apologizing for comparing his scandal to the experiences of George Floyd and O.J. Simpson

Tom Sandoval kept a low profile while in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning.

The 40-year-old reality TV personality, who recently claimed to have been assaulted by her ex, cut a casual figure as she walked through what appeared to be a grocery store parking lot during her time on camera.

The Vanderpump Rules star’s exit came just one day after she publicly apologized for comparing her past controversy to the experiences of OJ Simpson and George Floyd.

Sandoval made his comments about the two during a recent interview with New York Times Magazinewhere he spoke about becoming the subject of intense scrutiny following the revelation of his romance with co-star Raquel Leviss.

The media figure was previously in a long-term relationship with his Vanderpump Rules co-star Ariana Madix, although it ended after news of their affair was revealed to the public.

The singer endured several months of intense public backlash over his relationship with Leviss, who was dubbed Scandoval.

Sandoval discussed the reaction to his affair during his interview and surmised that his notoriety was close to that of the aforementioned individuals.

He said: “I’m not really a pop culture historian. But I witnessed OJ Simpson and George Floyd and all these big things, which is really strange to compare this to that, I think, but do you think in some strange way it’s kind of the same?

The Vanderpump Rules star went on to state that she felt as if “He has more hate than Danny Masterson and he is a convicted rapist.”

Sandoval went on to explain what led him to leave Madix for Leviss, stating: ‘I did what I did because I was in an unhappy place in my life. I got caught up in my emotions and fell completely in love.’

Author and interviewer Irina Aleksander, who wrote the article, attempted to add context to the reality TV personality’s comments about Simpson and Floyd.

“I think I knew what I wanted to say. I was trying to express the strangeness of becoming the symbolic center of a national discussion and a major news story,” he wrote.

However, she added that Vanderpump Rules executive producers and showrunner Alex Baskin had contacted her regarding the media figure’s comments and were “concerned” about her behavior.

Aleksander later wrote that Sandoval was perhaps not “ready” to publicly express his views on his scandal.

The singer issued a public apology on Tuesday where he spoke about what led him to compare his experience to those of Simpson and Floyd.

Sandoval added: ‘The comparison was inappropriate and ignorant. “I am incredibly sorry and ashamed.”
