Tom Jones showed no signs of slowing down as he touched down in Brisbane on Saturday, ahead of his gig at the Byron Bay Blues Festival.

The music legend, 83, is touring Australia after revealing last year that he has no plans to retire.

Tom looked a little tired as he walked through the terminal before his performance at BluesFest, which attracts more than 100,000 music lovers.

The singer cut a casual figure in a black plaid flannel shirt, jeans and a baseball cap for the flight.

Tom, who has been traveling around Australia and was in Perth earlier this week, appeared to have been making the most of the sun as he sported a tan.

The music legend, 83, is touring Australia after revealing last year that he has no plans to retire.

He will next perform at A Day On The Green in New South Wales on Saturday and then perform shows in Adelaide and Melbourne.

The Sex Bomb hitmaker will also appear on several dates throughout March and April, including the Newcastle Entertainment Centre.

It ends with a show in Sydney at the Aware Super Theater on April 4.

Last year, Tom insisted he has no plans to retire from acting anytime soon.

The music legend admitted that while he can’t dance on stage as much as he did in previous shows, he will only retire if his voice starts to fail.

In 2022, Tom revealed that he had undergone his second hip replacement surgery after his first in 2017.

It came after he admitted that he had to sit down for most of his shows and could only perform around four of his songs while standing.

‘The only way (I would retire) is if I couldn’t sing anymore. If something went wrong with my vocal ability, I wouldn’t want to continue at full strength. “I wouldn’t want to let the public down,” she said. Meter.

‘Being old, you can’t do what you used to do. I mean, I can’t walk like I used to, but I wouldn’t want to now. When you’re young you’re full of shit and vinegar and you’re giving it a lot. Now I focus more on singing than anything else.

Tom looked a little tired as he walked through the terminal before his performance at BluesFest, which attracts more than 100,000 music lovers.

‘I can still go up there and do it live. I don’t know, it’s a good question because I’ve never really thought about that… If people want to go and see it, then that’s fine.’

Tom added that if he were ever unable to perform in the future, he would be open to the idea of ​​a hologram to replace him, although he hopes it is “not even close.”
