Tom Holland and Zendaya talk about their relationship

With only days left until their new superhero sequel Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters, Tom Holland and Zendaya share their relationship.

Holland and Zendaya, both 25, first played Peter Parker/Spider-Man and MJ in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and played those roles again in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Although there had been rumors about their romance for months – including paparazzi photos of them kissing – they finally confirmed their romance last month, with the Netherlands talking about the romance in a AP interview from London.

Holland spoke to the press when he saw his girlfriend and said, “There she is, she looks beautiful, may I add — as always.”

When asked about the relationship, Holland said it started with “companionship” and led to more.

“Two friends coming together, experiencing this world, going through the same problems at the same time, having a shoulder to cry on, that was a big thing for the two of us, and also for Jacob (Batalon). We really are a family,’ Holland said.

“Getting famous at 19… this is a different kind of fame. There isn’t a corner of the world that Spider-Man hasn’t touched. It’s a lot to take in, so it’s really nice for me to have a family to share that with,” Holland added.

Zendaya also spoke about their relationship adding that they just support each other and are there for each other.

“I think sometimes you just have to be someone to open up, someone to just be there and listen,” Zendaya added.

The actress added that she has been “lucky” that her life has not changed overnight, as she has been acting since she was young, calling it a “slow progress”.

She added that she’ll “have to figure it out as I go and get a little foothold,” although it was for the Netherlands, “so much at once because you’re Spider-Man.”

“You’re Spider-Man and your life changes. I have an extreme amount of empathy for that, so everything I’ve learned, or have learned or are still learning, I share with him, and whatever he learns, he shares with me,” she added.
