Tom started filming Havoc in Wales last month and it will air on Netflix after filming wraps in October.

The film tells the story of a busted drug deal and a detective who must fight his way through the criminal underworld to rescue the estranged son of a prominent politician.

It is directed by Welsh filmmaker Gareth Evans, who is behind such films as The Raid and Raid 2, the Michael Sheen horror Apostle and Sky Atlantic’s Gangs of London.

The official Sony Pictures Entertainment YouTube account uploaded the trailer last month, starring Tom Hardy as the main character.

The feature, starring Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson, revolves around the titular character as he comes face to face with a new threat with similar powers.

The Andy Serkis-directed superhero film is set to be the second entry in the Marvel Characters Sony Pictures Universe, which serves as the Marvel Cinematic Universe counterpart.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will debut on September 24, after being delayed from an original October 2020 release date.

The upcoming feature will serve as a sequel to the original 2018 film, which also marked the beginning of the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters.

As opposed to producing stories around a wide variety of superheroes along the lines of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the media franchise will focus on characters associated with Spider-Man.

Although executives from both studios intensively negotiated the rights to the web sling, they eventually came to an agreement allowing both to use the property.

The next planned film from the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters will revolve around Morbius the Living Vampire, who will be played by Jared Leto, and will make its debut in 2022.

Other projects currently in development include features around characters such as Kraven The Hunter and Madame Web.

Hardy has also confirmed that he will star in a third Venom movie, although the release date of the upcoming feature is currently unknown.
