Elton John, Tom Hanks, Jools Holland and Paul McCartney joined David Hockney at his immersive art show in London this week.

The group all posed together for a photo at the Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away) in the Lightroom – which was shared by Jools on his Instagram account.

He wrote: ‘Great art accompanied by the great artists of life could not be better. David Hockney’s dazzling show, ‘Bigger & Closer (not smaller and farther away)’ @_lightroomldn is awesome.”

David sat at the front of the group and looked smart in a checked suit, shirt, tie and matching hat.

Fans were quick to comment on the photo of what a great group he managed to get together for the exhibit.

One said, ‘That’s a great band in the making!’, while another said, ‘That’s a very impressive line-up, each and every one of them masters of their craft!’

A third wrote: “That’s a photo and a moment!” as Top Boy star Kano wrote, “Proper show that!”

Someone else commented, “Iconic,” while another joked, “What a picture! (Who are those guys standing next to Jools?!’.

Elton, 75, showed off his signature style in his classic Gucci trousers, tinted glasses and a stylish light blue jacket.

Meanwhile, Paul, 80, and Jools, 65, wore smart black suits, while Tom, 66, stood at the back of the group in a navy blue jumper.

Tom has been in London for several days and was recently spotted at the Aston Villa v Arsenal game on Saturday.

The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through 60 years of his art using large-scale projection.

He previously said, “The world is very, very beautiful when you look at it, but most people don’t look that much.

“They’re scanning the ground in front of them so they can walk, they’re not really looking at things incredibly closely, with a certain intensity.” I do.’

David has indulged his lifelong fascination with new media for the immersive experience, which encourages people to take a closer look at his art.

Mia Regan, Myleene Klass and Keith Lemon were among the famous faces who attended the exhibition’s opening press night last Tuesday.
