Tom Cruise surprised fans when he made an appearance at the European premiere of Twisters in London on Monday night.
The 62-year-old Hollywood actor stepped out to support his Maverick co-star Glen Powell and posed for photos at Cineworld Leicester Square.
Glen, who played Jake “Hangman” Seresin in the Top Gun sequel, stars as “tornado tamer” Tyler Owens, who is forced to confront a particularly catastrophic tornado in the upcoming thriller, Twisters.
Upon arriving in the capital, Tom smiled for a photo alongside his co-star and captioned the Instagram post: ‘Fun night out with friends, watching a movie!’
Sharing the same snap on his own account, Glen wrote: “When your partner follows you into the storm…”

Glen looked dapper in a black suit with white piping, an unbuttoned shirt and dark red patent leather shoes.
Meanwhile, Tom opted for a white T-shirt with a suede bomber jacket and smart trousers.
In May, a trailer for the film was released that opens at an Oklahoma rodeo with a crowd watching a bull rider followed by a storm siren.
The animals fled with the crowd and a truck trying to get away from the chaos was picked up by the wind and thrown into an electric sign.
“A once-in-a-generation tornado outbreak continues in Oklahoma,” a television weatherman reported as Kate Cooper, played by 25-year-old English actress Daisy Edgar Jones, studied the storm from afar at a federal weather agency.
A supervisor asked Kate for help with tornadoes after admitting he had never seen one like it before.
—No, I’m not chasing you anymore, Kate said.
After being told that her help could save lives, Kate reluctantly agreed to give it a week.
Kate joined NASA and FEMA experts in Oklahoma and was shocked when Tyler Owens, played by Glen, a self-described “tornado man,” arrived.
“If you feel it,” Tyler told his adoring fans. “Go after it!” they replied.

A note at the end said that Universal Pictures is partnering with the American Red Cross to help those affected by disasters.

Twisters is a stand-alone sequel to the 1996 film Twister starring Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton, Jami Gertz, and Cary Elwes.
The classic film follows two storm chasers on the brink of divorce who are forced to work together to create an advanced weather warning system that targets extremely violent tornadoes.
