Tom Brady reportedly received FOX’s “blessing” to explore investing in the Las Vegas Raiders.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion was free to explore the opportunity, according to ESPNwith Seth Wickersham and Adam Schefter suggesting his 10-year, $375 million mega-deal with the broadcaster will be “unaffected”.
Brady is said to be in “extensive talks” to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, with ESPN reporting talks between him and owner Mark Davis have been “going on for weeks.”
The former Buccaneers and Patriots quarterback is expected to start working in the broadcast booth in 2024.
Sources quoted by ESPN described the negotiations as “extremely sensitive and fluid”, while a source close to the situation said Brady’s investment would be “passive” – as in, he would have no control over business or football.

Brady has yet to be officially honored for his 20 seasons at Foxborough during which he won six Super Bowl titles for the AFC East organization.
New England will open its season at home against Philadelphia on Sept. 10 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
This will be a Super Bowl LII rematch in which Brady and the Pats infamously lost to the Nick Foles-led Eagles in Super Bowl 2018, 41-33.
New England and Philadelphia have played once since the Minneapolis clash, with Brady leading New England to a 17-10 win at Linc in November 2019.
