Tom Brady’s E1 team won its first world championship, and the legendary former quarterback called the achievement in the all-electric racing boat series “unbelievable.”
Team Brady won E1’s inaugural season after five races around the world, with investors including Rafael Nadal, Will Smith and former Chelsea star Didier Drogba among the owners of the other eight teams.
Now, Brady has spoken about his team’s victory, driven by drivers Emma Kimiläinen and Sam Coleman.
“It’s amazing to win the first E1 World Championship,” he said in a press release. ‘I am proud of the team and what we have achieved. Competition is exciting for us and life is about creating memories and relationships, and I think what we’ve established in terms of our teamwork has been one of the most rewarding parts.
‘Our team managers Ben (King) and Joe (Sturdy) led the way and solved a lot of problems. I was able to witness the way they handled the different adversities we faced throughout the season, it was great to see. Obviously, our two drivers, Sam and Emma, were able to show how they played off each other, their chemistry and the camaraderie of the entire team.”

The series included races in Venice and Monaco and launched earlier this year.
In a highlight clip of Team Brady summarizing the season, he also cheerfully says, “Team Brady are the champions of the water, let’s go!”
The Brady team achieved three victories throughout the season, which saw races held in cities such as Monaco and Venice.
Brady was present at both venues, as he threw a football on Venice’s Grand Canal before joining Drogba in Monaco.
E1, funded by Saudi Arabia’s PIF, was launched earlier this year in Jeddah.
It’s been a tough week for Brady, as he came under fire for using a derogatory term to describe the Bills’ Josh Allen on Sunday’s Fox NFL broadcast.
On Monday it also emerged that his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, was pregnant by her boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

Tom and Gisele confirmed that they would divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.
The former Patriots star posted a cryptic Instagram story afterwards, featuring The Chicks’ cover of Fleetwood Mac’s hit ‘Landslide.’
‘Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?’ Brady wrote alongside a photo of the setting sun.
Brady added audio about the story and users heard: ‘Oh mirror in the sky, what is love?’ Can the child inside my heart rise? Can I navigate through the changing tides of the ocean?
Brady and Bundchen were married for 13 years before breaking up in October 2022.
Shortly after the divorce, Bundchen began dating Valente, who was pictured as her Jiu-Jitsu instructor during their marriage.
