Tom Brady is still learning how to be an NFL commentator and on Sunday he received a lot of criticism for his lackluster analysis of Lamar Jackson.
The Ravens quarterback ran into the end zone for a nine-yard touchdown against the Cowboys on Sunday, and Brady offered a pretty banal assessment of the play.
“How fast is Lamar? Fast,” he said.
And fans were not impressed with that collapse.
“Tom Brady states the obvious as if he’s discovering something revolutionary,” said one on X.

The quarterback ran into the end zone for a nine-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
“A terrible comment,” added another.
“In other news, water is wet,” added a third.
A different fan referenced Brady’s lucrative 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox.
“Give this guy another $40 million,” they said.
Brady’s debut as a Fox Sports commentator in Week 1 was a bit of a rocky one.
When he announced the Cowboys’ win over the Browns, some fans criticized him from the start because he used a strange phrase when he said, “it’s hard to make 10 yards, but really hard to make 20 yards.”
He acknowledged before Week 2 that there were “some things to clean up.”
However, he received better reviews in his second game when he returned to the booth for the Cowboys-Saints game.
Brady made his in-game debut for Fox Sports earlier this month alongside Kevin Burkhardt.

“The greatest moment of Tom Brady’s young career as a commentator just happened,” read another post. “After the Cowboys’ rookie receiver slips, leading to an interception, Burkhardt asks if Prescott should go back to the rookie receiver to regain confidence. Brady: “Not today.”
“Sad to report that Tom Brady is offering some good, cliché-free insight today,” read another tweet from Week 2. “He sounds comfortable and confident and looks like he’s even having fun. Who would have thought: the homicidal, competitive guy could end up being good at this.”
Brady will be in Tampa Bay in Week 4 for his former team’s clash with the Eagles.
