As Brady told ESPN’s Outside the Lines last week, he hopes Jack finds happiness away from the game, which naturally comes with inflated expectations when your dad is a seven-time Super Bowl winner.
“I hope he finds the things in his life that will allow him to get up every day to be internally motivated to work hard at something he loves to do,” Brady said. “I don’t think about football. Look, I wouldn’t often choose him to do that because there’s too many crazy expectations people would place on him.
“Most of them are probably very unfair actually. So whatever path he chooses in his life, my son Benny, my daughter Vivi, whatever they choose, I’m here to support them.
In October, Brady told his SiriusXM co-host Jim Gray that he was having a lot of fun watching Jack perform.
“I think one of the great moments in my life is watching him play, watching him grow and develop, and my kids in general too,” Brady said. “So I love watching him dig deep and most of all [play] team sports.’
As a freshman, Jack played free safety on defense but was under center on offense, which naturally pleased his quarterback dad.
“I think there are very few things in life that I could possibly help him with. You know, I don’t have a lot of specialties in life other than probably throwing football,’ Brady shares. ‘He’s much smarter. He has a great work ethic. He’s just a great boy. But I can definitely help him at quarterback.

“So coming out and watching him play has been so much fun for me,” Brady added. “And I don’t give *** how good he does it. I love watching it and seeing him enjoying it with his friends. And, you know, the camaraderie at a young age.
“I remember being in high school myself, I loved being there with my teammates, having pancake breakfasts on Saturdays. He eats meals on Friday nights with his teammates and that brings out the best in us. So it really is a treat, as all parents know, to watch their children play.
Although Brady admitted he “never imagined” Jack, a future high school sophomore, would play football, he called him a “grinder” and a “really good athlete.”
‘[He has] excellent hand-eye coordination. He actually moves better than me at his age,’ admitted Brady, who is famously slow.
