Tom Brady has been on the minds of Las Vegas Raiders fans for more than two decades, dating back to the game “Tuck Rule.”

Now, Brady is a part owner of the team.

The long and arduous process to get Brady into NFL ownership concluded when NFL owners officially approved his involvement with the Raiders at the league’s fall meetings. Brady was approved Tuesday by unanimous vote, according to multiple reports.

Brady’s group, which includes Knighthead Capital co-founder Tom Wagner, agreed to buy about 10 percent of the Raiders’ stock in May 2023. It was initially delayed because the NFL finance committee said Brady was He was selling his stake to him at a price that was much lower than the true valuation of the franchise. The purchase price was adjusted in February, clearing the way for the sale to take place.

The sale still needed to be approved by three-quarters of NFL owners, which occurred at the fall meetings.

Complicating Brady’s ownership is his job with Fox as a broadcaster, which began this season. He is reportedly not allowed to attend production meetings or attend practices in preparation for his broadcasts.

Brady is one of the key figures in NFL history. He won a record seven Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and set numerous passing records during his 23-year career. Now he is back in the league in an official capacity.
