Tom Brady appeared in the Fox Sports booth for the first time after signing a lucrative 10-year, $375 million contract to become the network’s top NFL analyst starting this fall.

On Sunday, the legendary quarterback stopped by and joined Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt on Fox’s broadcast of the United Football League Championship.

Brady will get his first turn in the NFL when the Cleveland Browns host the Dallas Cowboys on September 8. Although he has yet to gain representation as a broadcaster and analyst, Brady seemed comfortable in his new surroundings after swapping his helmet for headphones.

Brady is in St. Louis on Sunday night to present the most valuable player trophy from the UFL championship game between the San Antonio Brahmas and the Birmingham Stallions.

However, Brady gave some insight into both teams’ offense on the field during his pit stop in the broadcast booth.

“Everyone’s a little different,” Brady said. “You go into these games and there’s a lot of defense out there right now. “You see the defense coming out, playing with a lot of energy.”

“But someone has to get the ball up the field and open it up a little bit,” he continued. “There are a lot of horizontal passes and the defense crowds in and tries to punch the ball out.”

“So make them defend every blade of grass,” Brady added.

The Stallions cruised to a 25-0 title victory before Brady presented the MVP trophy to quarterback Adrian Martinez.

Brady’s advancement came just four days after he was inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame. At the same ceremony, team owner Robert Kraft revealed that his iconic jersey number (12) has been retired and that a 12-foot bronze statue will be built in his honor outside Gillette Stadium.
