What a defector! Tom Brady and former teammate Rob Gronkowski recreate the famous beach scene from Top Gun shirtless in a pickup soccer game
While Tom Brady has hung his cleats on the professional level, it seems he hasn’t given up on football entirely as he channeled his inner ‘Maverick’ in a Top Gun pickup.
The recently retired quarterback is joined by former New England Patriots teammates Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, and others as they recreate 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick.
The NFL stars enjoyed a pickup soccer game on the beach in the Bahamas over the weekend, looking like they were reliving the shirtless beach scene out of a Tom Cruise movie.
In a new video shared by Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model and longtime girlfriend Gronkowski Camille Kostek, Brady and company can be seen running trails and celebrating plays.
Gronkowski even hit a hip celebration in the air that went viral from last year’s movie.

Kostek also shared a series of photos on Instagram of her soaking up the sun in a tiny blue bikini and Gronkowski humorously posing for the camera in a pair of diving goggles.
On Tuesday, legendary Patriots and Bucks star Brady shared photos of himself at a beach soccer game, still looking in form for the game as he assumes his regular quarterback role.
In one of the photos, Brady can be seen talking to his son, Jack.
But the seven-time Super Bowl winner also had company from his former New England teammates.
Julian Edelman and Wes Welker were seen with drinks in hand while Rob Gronkowski was humorously caught in goggles in the water.
“Beach day with the crew,” he wrote on Instagram.
Brady retired – for the second time – in February after a celebrated 23 season and career.
The event was reportedly hosted by billionaire quarterback, Jeff Soffer.
However, a source told Page Six that it wasn’t a retirement party. They were kids and some guys playing soccer on the beach… nothing out of the ordinary.

Meanwhile, Brady is reportedly “dating” after his divorce from ex-wife Gisele Bundchen.
Brady and Bundchen split after 13 years of marriage last October — during soccer season — amid persistent suggestions that the Brazilian supermodel was unhappy over his “not wanting to get married” last year.
In his statement, Brady, 45, said it was a “difficult” and “painful” decision the couple came to after “a lot of thought” while Gisele, 42, said, “Ending a marriage is never easy…we’ve grown.
It was reported that Bundchen was upset with the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s decision to back out of retirement last year and issued him an ultimatum, forcing him to choose their relationship over his sports career.
But the model blasted those rumors in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, claiming the speculation was “very hurtful,” while insisting that she never wanted anything but “to make all his dreams come true.”
