Tokyo Olympics: Shericka Jackson is OUTSIDE the 200m after taking off way too early

That did not go well! Olympic 100m bronze medalist Shericka Jackson is OUT of 200m sprint after JOGGING across the finish line…with careless Jamaican missing semifinals by four thousandths of a second

Shericka Jackson has been dramatically knocked out of the women’s 200m after calming down way too early.

The sprinter won a bronze medal in the 100m as part of a Jamaican one-two-three alongside compatriots Elaine Thompson-Herah and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

She was also hot-tipped to challenge for the slightly longer format but comfortably in a qualifying position, slowed down far too much and then dumped out of competition.

Former runner Steve Cram told the BBC: ‘Shericka Jackson was almost out jogging – what the hell? Why take such risks?

“I’m sorry to sound annoyed, but I’m on behalf of her, on behalf of her coach and her teammates. It’s just not necessary.’
