Tokyo Olympics: Frazer Clarke takes bronze for Team GB despite losing to Bakhodir Jalolov

Agony for Frazer Clarke during his super heavyweight fight in the Olympic semifinal with Uzbekistan’s No. 1 Bakhodir Jalolov has retired due to a nasty cut to his right eye… but the Team GB star will still take home bronze!

Frazer Clarke will take bronze after losing his super heavyweight semifinal against Uzbekistan brutal Bakhodir Jalolov.

The Burton-on-Trent fighter, 29, bravely stepped into the ring against the heavy favorite and delivered a massive right hand in the second – practically the first glove to land on the 27-year-old – during the Games to date.

At the beginning of the third, he had to be treated for the cut above the right eye and returned to battle with a miracle.

But another shot from Jalolov reopened the wound he had won in his quarterfinals and the referee called the time on the clash.
