A four-year-old girl had her scalp torn off in a vicious dog attack before her mother hid from police and tried to hide her bloody clothes.

The girl, Lilianna, was rushed to the intensive care unit at Nebraska Medicine after the Feb. 20 attack in an industrial area of Omaha.

Police said in a report that the dog belonged to her mother’s boyfriend — and the dog was caught shortly after the attack and euthanized.

Lilianna’s mother, Danielle Stratman, 24, hid from police when they arrived, changing her bloody clothes and hiding them under the bed. Both she and her boyfriend, Greg Preister, have been arrested for obstruction.

Lillianna’s great-aunt, Kimberly Lane Koterba, said the toddler had ‘been attacked by a Cane Corso Mastiff mix’ and ‘her scalp was torn off, her cheekbone was broken, she has torn ligaments in her neck and stitches all over her body. ‘

The attack happened while Lillianna was visiting her mother.

Stratman was not supposed to have any contact with her child as a no-contact order was in place after she was arrested earlier in February and charged with child abuse and domestic violence, according to KETV.

Sharing a link to a GoFundMe for Lillianna’s medical bills, Koterba said: ‘I am raising money for my great niece Lillianna who was attacked by a Cane Corso Mastiff mix.

‘She is 4 years old and her scalp was ripped off, her cheekbone was broken, she has torn ligaments in her neck and stitches all over her body.

‘She is now out of intensive care but may need another operation later this week. Many more to follow. She will also need therapy for the trauma.

‘This angel was born with Spina bifida. Any funds not used for medical purposes will go into a trust account for her future needs. Thank you.

She added: ‘It wouldn’t have happened if the mother hadn’t breached a no-contact order while the child was being babysat by her grandmother.’

Police detailed the incident where they were initially called to a violent attack, officers said in a report seen by KETV.

When authorities arrived, they said Stratman hid from officers at her girlfriend’s home and changed into her bloody clothes — which she then hid under a bed.

Police did not find the dog at the scene of the attack, but animal control was called and located the dog at Preister’s home.

He voluntarily surrendered the dog, and officials took it to the Nebraska Humane Society, which euthanized it immediately.

Pam Wiese of the Nebraska Humane Society told KETV: ‘We immediately euthanized the dog and sent the tissue out for testing because of the severity of the injuries and where they were.

‘It must be speeded up because the injuries were very close to the brain.’
