A 15-month-old toddler has died after being hit by a car on an estate south of Townsville.
The boy was hit on Thursday around 4:45 p.m. by a vehicle that, according to the police, would be driven by a woman.
The female driver assists the police in their investigation.
It is understood that the toddler was run over by a car in a driveway of a rural estate on Berryman Rd, Home Hill.
The toddler was taken to Ayr Hospital in critical condition and died a short time later.
